Mike became the Blonde’s superhero husband in 2005.  After surviving a very eventful honeymoon which included five hours aboard a rickety bus en route to the Mayan ruins, four torrential downpours while visiting Chichen Itza, three hours stranded on a pier while the Mexican SWAT investigated a shooting, a two-mile hike through the unpaved streets of Playa del Carmen luggage in tow, and one vomit-inducing ferry ride across the ocean, he still thought it was a good decision.

When he’s not busy rescuing the Blonde or ridding the world of injustice with his trusty sidekicks, the Disaster Twins, he’s a mild-mannered graphic designer with a thing for heavy metal, the Green Bay Packers, bad jokes, and running…presumably for exercise, but more likely to escape the Blonde.

Disaster Twin Halas

Halas makes up one-half of the dynamic Disaster Twins duo. She joined the pack in February 2007 after a brief stint at the local animal shelter. While her first love is breakfast, followed closely by dinner, snacks, snacks, and more snacks, she can often be found hiding dog toys from her sister or lounging about the Blonde abode.  She’s able to leap tall furniture in a single bound and does a killer Donkey from Shrek impression.

Disaster Twin Lombardi

Lombardi is the frick to Halas’ frack and is quite possibly the happiest Chow-Shepherd in the galaxy.  When not wagging her tail, leaping up on the couch, prancing around the neighborhood on her very stylish pink leash, or playing air guitar, she can be found doing some serious dental damage to one of a dozen various Nylabones littering the Blonde home.  Trotting in random circles and staging stealth attacks on her sleeping owners are among her many superpowers.
